REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1943.

Amendments of the National Security (Meat Industry Control) Regulations†
Appointment of officers.
1. Regulation 31 of the National Security (Meat Industry Control), Regulations is amended by adding at the end of sub-regulation (2.) the words “and their salaries and conditions of employment shall be such as are, subject to the approval of the Public Service Board, determined by the Controller”.
Fees and expenses.
2. Regulation 33 of the National Security (Meat Industry Control) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—
“(3.) Notwithstanding anything contained in this regulation, if a member of the Committee is also a member of the Parliament of the Commonwealth, he shall not be entitled to be remunerated in respect of his services as a member of the Committee, but shall be entitled to be reimbursed such expenses as he has actually incurred by reason of his attendance at meetings of the Committee.”.
