REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendment of National Security (General) Regulations.†
Unauthorized possession or sale of uniforms and badge.
Regulation 31a of the National Security (General) Regulations is amended—
(a) by inserting after sub-regulation (4.) the following sub-regulation:—
“(4a.) A person shall not use any representation or miniature of a naval, military or air force badge or emblem for purposes of advertisement or otherwise in connexion with any trade or business.”
(b) by omitting from paragraph (ii) of sub-regulation (5.) the word “or” (third occurring); and
(c) by inserting after paragraph (ii) of sub-regulation (5.) the following paragraph:—
“(iia) any miniature or other representation of a naval, military or air force badge, which does not exceed in size one-half that of the original badge and is embossed on or directly affixed to an article for sale to the public, if both the miniature or other representation and the article have been manufactured in Australia or some other part of the King’s dominions; or”.
