REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendment of the National Security (Cargo Control) Regulations.†
After regulation 8 of the National Security (Cargo Control) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—
Deputies of members of Committees.
“8a. The Minister may appoint any person to be the deputy of any member of the Central Committee or of a State Committee, and any person so appointed shall, in the event of the absence or illness of any member of whom he is the deputy, be deemed to be a member of the Central Committee or of the State Committee, as the case may be, for the purposes of any meeting.”.
