1 Name of Declaration

 (1) This declaration is the National Health (Medication chart prescription trial hospital) Declaration 2015.

 (2) This declaration may also be cited as PB 22 of 2015.

2 Commencement

  This declaration commences on 1 April 2015.

3 Definitions

  In this declaration:

Act means the National Health Act 1953.

electronic prescription has the same meaning as in the Regulations.

approved hospital has the same meaning as in the Regulations.

medication chart prescription has the same meaning as in the Regulations.

Regulations means the National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations 1960.

Paper-based medication chart prescription trial hospitals

 (1) For subregulation 59(3) of the Regulations, an approved hospital specified in Schedule 1 is declared to be a listed approved hospital for the purpose of a PBS prescriber writing a medication chart prescription that is not also an electronic prescription for a patient receiving treatment in or at an approved hospital.

 (2) A declaration under subsection 4(1), and Schedule 1, ceases to have effect on 1 July 2016.
