1 Name
(1) This instrument is the National Health (Additional Community Supply Support Payment Advances) Instrument 2025.
(2) This instrument may also be cited as PB 54 of 2025.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority
This instrument is made under subsection 99AB(1B) of the National Health Act 1953.
4 Definitions
Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following:
- Secretary.
(1) In this instrument:
Act means the National Health Act 1953.
(2) An expression that is used in this instrument and in Part VII of the Act has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in that Part.
Note: Examples of such expressions include the following:
(a) ACSS payment.
5 Specification – ACSS payment advances
For the purposes of paragraph 99AB(1A)(a) of the Act, the specified day is 1 July 2025.
Note: If, on or after 1 July 2025, an amount may become payable to a person under section 99AAAA of the Act, an advance may be made to the person on account of that amount. Advances may be subject to terms and conditions approved by the Secretary in writing – see subsection 99AB(1A) of the Act.
