National Competition Council – Council President and Councillors – Appointments and Reappointments (No. 1) 2026

I, the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and under subsection 29C(2) of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010:

  1.     appoint Marcus Bezzi as the Council President of the National Competition Council, on a part-time basis, for the period beginning on 18 February 2026 until 17 February 2029; and
  2.     appoint Catherine Dermody as a Councillor of the National Competition Council, on a part-time basis, for the period beginning on 18 February 2026 until 17 February 2029; and
  3.     reappoint Sally McMahon and Craig Emerson as Councillors of the National Competition Council, each on a part-time basis and each for the period beginning on 18 February 2026 until 17 February 2029.
