APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT 41

OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL PLAN

(GUNGAHLIN DRIVE EXTENSION)

I, Wilson Tuckey, Minister for Regional Services, Territories and Local Government, pursuant to Section 19 of the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Act 1988, APPROVE Amendment 41 of the National Capital Plan set out in the attached Schedule.

AMENDMENT 41 OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL PLAN

(GUNGAHLIN DRIVE EXTENSION)

Figure I General Policy Plan - Metropolitan Canberra in the National Capital Plan is amended by:

(a) Deleting the broken black line representing the "Proposed Arterial Road" through the "Hills Ridges and Buffer Spaces" between Belconnen Way/Barry Drive and the Barton Highway; and

(b) Inserting a firm black line representing an "Existing Arterial Road" generally along the eastern edge of the District of Belconnen "Urban Area".

The effect of these changes is shown in the figure below.
