Explanatory Statement - Variation of the Nation Building Program Roads to Recovery List

Under s.87 of the Nation Building Program (National Land Transport) Act 2009 (the Act), the Minister is required to determine a list of funding recipients and their allocations. The allocations so determined cannot be changed except in a limited set of circumstances specified in the Act. Subsection 88(3) provides that the list may be varied to correct an error or to update the name of a person or body specified in the list. The Minister, or his delegate, can sign an instrument to vary the list.
The Nepabunna Community Incorporated and its allocation are on the list determined by the Minister. This Council has recently changed its name to the Nipapanha Community Incorporated.
This instrument updates the name of the Nepabunna Community Incorporated to the Nipapanha Community Incorporated.
