1905. No. 15.

PEOVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACTS 1903-1904.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Defence Acts 1903-1904 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulations to come into operation forthwith, as Provisional Regulations.

Part III.Quartermasters.

At the end of paragraph 49 add new sub-para. :

Quartermasters of not less than seventeen years commissoned service who have held the rank of Captain or Honorary Captain for not less than seven years may, for special services, be promoted to the honorary rank of Major if recommended by the District Commandant.
