REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1956.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Common wealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1956.

AMENDMENTS OF THE MILITARY FINANCIAL REGULATIONS. †
Application.
1. Regulation 102 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting paragraphs (c), (d) and (e) and inserting in their stead the following paragraphs:—
“(c) a student attending the Officer Cadet School; or
(d) an army apprentice.”.
Senior appointments.
2. Regulation 171 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “Seven hundred and thirty-five pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “Seven hundred and fifty pounds”; and
(b) by omitting sub-regulation (3.).
The First Schedule.
3. The First Schedule to the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the word and figures—
“Regulation 237.”.
The Third Schedule.
4. The Third Schedule to the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting Table 1 and inserting in its stead the following Table:—

Application.
5.—(1.) The allowance provided for by sub-regulation (2.) of regulation 171 of the Military Financial Regulations is payable at the rate prescribed by that sub-regulation as amended by regulation 2 of these Regulations in respect of service as Secretary to the Conference of Chaplains-General on and after the first day of July, 1962.
(2.) Where the rate of pay specified in relation to an appointment in Table 1 in the Third Schedule to the Military Financial Regulations as amended by the last preceding regulation is greater than the rate of pay applicable, under the Military Financial Regulations as in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, in respect of a member performing duty in that appointment, the rate so specified is the rate of pay in respect of duty performed in that appointment on or after the first day of July, 1962.
Rates of flying allowance.
6. Where flying allowance is payable under paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1.) of regulation 29 of the Military Financial Regulations in respect of the fifth day of September, 1962, or any subsequent day, the rates of flying allowance specified in paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3.) of that regulation, as amended by regulation 3 of Statutory Rules 1963, No. 9, are the rates at which the flying allowance is so payable.
