MATERNITY ALLOWANCE.

 

No. 48 of 1926.

An Act to amend section six of the Maternity Allowance Act 1912.

[Assented to 23rd August, 1926.]

Preamble.

BE it enacted by the Kings Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Maternity Allowance Act 1926.

(2.) The Maternity Allowance Act 1912, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Maternity Allowance Act 1912-1926.

Amendment of s. 6.

2. Section six of the Maternity Allowance Act 1912 is amended by omitting from sub-section (2.) the word Asiatics and inserting in its stead the word aliens.
