LICENCE AREA PLAN – SYDNEY RADIO

(1) This plan for radio broadcasting services in the Sydney area of New South Wales is made under subsection 26(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

(2) Seven national radio broadcasting services, ten commercial radio broadcasting services, eight community and two open narrowcasting radio services are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.2 - 1.29 to this Plan

(3) One commercial radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 2.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 2.1 are set out in Schedule Two and Attachment 2.2 - 2.4 to this Plan.

(4) One commercial and one community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 3.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 3.1 are set out in Schedule Three and Attachments 3.2 – 3.3 to this Plan.

(5) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 4.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 4.1 are set out in Schedule Four and Attachments 4.2 – 4.3 to this Plan.

(6) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 5.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 5.1 are set out in Schedule Five and Attachment 5.2 to this Plan.

(7) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 6.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 6.1 are set out in Schedule Six and Attachment 6.2 to this Plan.

(8) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 7.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 7.1 are set out in Schedule Seven and Attachments 7.2 – 7.3 to this Plan.

(9) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 8.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 8.1 are set out in Schedule Eight and Attachment 8.2 to this Plan.

(10) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 9.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 9.1 are set out in Schedule Nine and Attachment 9.2 to this Plan.

(11) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 10.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 10.1 are set out in Schedule Ten and Attachments 10.2 – 10.5 to this Plan.

(12) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 11.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 11.1 are set out in Schedule Eleven and Attachment 11.2 to this Plan.

(13) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 12.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the service that is to be available in the area described at Attachment 12.1 are set out in Schedule Twelve and Attachment 12.2 to this Plan.

(14) One community radio broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 13.1 to this Plan with the use of the broadcasting services bands. Special Conditions :-

This facility can operate with a CMF not to exceed 1350 V for all angle of azimuth, from one hour after local sunrise, to one hour before local sunset as defined at the transmitter site on the 15th day of each month (day-night switching).
