VARIATION TO LICENCE AREA PLAN
Spencer Gulf Analog Television – May 2004
DETERMINATION
The Australian Broadcasting Authority hereby varies the plan for television broadcasting services in Spencer Gulf, determined on 22 August 1996 and varied on 14 March 2002, under subsection 26(2) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.
This variation comprises the deletion and variation of technical specifications in the T18 Spencer Gulf area, as set out below:

One national television broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 are set out Schedule One and Attachments 1.11 to 1.13 and 1.15 to 1.19 to this Determination.
One national television broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 are set out in the Schedule One and Attachments 1.20, 1.25 and 1.28 to this Determination.
One commercial television broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.29 and 1.31 to 1.38 to this Determination
One commercial television broadcasting service is to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 to this Determination with the use of the broadcasting services bands. The characteristics, including technical specifications, of the services that are to be available in the area described at Attachment 1.1.1 are set out in Schedule One and Attachments 1.39 to 1.46 to this Determination.

SCHEDULE
The Schedule sets out:
- the category of each of the services that are to be available in that area (column one);
- the assignee of the service (column two) does not form part of the licence area plan decision and is included for reference only, and is accurate as at date of publication.
- the status of the service (column three) does not form part of the licence area plan decision and is included for reference only;
- the channel for each transmitter (column four) does not form part of the licence area plan decision and is included for reference only;
- the service licence number which has been allocated to the service, if appropriate (column five); N/A = Not Applicable, as the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 only requires service licences for Commercial and Community services;
- the transmitter specification number which has been allocated to each transmitter (column six);
- the identifying number of the attachment where the technical specifications for each transmitter are described (column seven); and
- the general area served by each transmitter (column eight).

ATTACHMENT NUMBERS
Not all licensees serve all areas covered by this licence area plan. Therefore, for administrative convenience, attachment numbers do not run in sequence at Schedule One, particularly as a number of attachments to the original schedule have been deleted.
For ease of reference, the Schedule affected by this variation to the LAP has been updated to reflect the variation to the plan. Schedule One of the Spencer Gulf Television LAP prior to this variation is reproduced below:
