VARIATION

The Australian Broadcasting Authority hereby varies the licence area plan (LAP) for radio and television broadcasting services in the Mildura/Sunraysia area of Victoria and New South Wales, determined on 13 July 1995, under subsection 26(2) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

The variation comprises a variation of the licence area of the radio community broadcasting service designated by the service licence number SL010093, and changes to the technical specifications of the service as set out below:

The area in which this community broadcasting service is to be available is described at Attachment 4.1 to this instrument.

The additional technical specifications applicable to this service are set out in Schedule Four and Attachment 4.5 to this instrument.  The remaining technical specifications of the service are deleted from Schedule Three of the licence area plan and are now at Schedule Four and Attachments 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4.

The variation also comprises a variation of the technical specifications of the community broadcasting service designated by the service licence number SL010092 as set out below:

SCHEDULES

Each of the Schedules sets out:

• the category of each of the services that are to be available in that area (column one),
• the service licence number which has been allocated to the service, if appropriate (column two);  N/A = Not Applicable, as the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 only requires service licences for Commercial and Community services.
• the number of transmitters required to transmit the service,
• the transmitter specification number which has been allocated to each transmitter (column three),
• the identifying number of the attachment where the technical specifications for each transmitter are described (column four).  (Each set of technical specifications referred to in the Schedules is an attachment to this determination).
• the general area served by each transmitter (column five).

For ease of reference, the Schedules affected by this variation to the LAP have been updated to reflect the variation to the plan.
