Invitation to comment on a draft bilateral agreement
with Tasmania under section 49A of the
Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth)
In accordance with subsection 49A(a) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) (the EPBC Act) and Division 16.1 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Regulations 2000 (Cth), I, GREG HUNT, Minister for the Environment, give notice that a draft bilateral agreement with Tasmania is publicly available at
http://www.environment.gov.au/EPBC/bilateral-agreements/Tas or can be obtained from the contact below.
The bilateral agreement may declare classes of actions that do not require approval under Part 9 of the EPBC Act for the purposes of specified provisions of Part 3 of the EPBC Act.
Any person is invited to provide written comments on the draft agreement by no later than 5pm on 11 September 2014.
