INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENT: SNAPPER ISLAND DRAFT HERITAGE MANAGEMENT PLAN  

The Commonwealth Department of Finance (Finance) has prepared a draft Heritage Management Plan for Snapper Island. Snapper Island is located approximately 300 metres north-east of Drummoyne Sailing Club in Sydney Harbour, NSW.

In accordance with section 341S of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, and relevant regulations, Finance invites members of the public, organisations or other groups with interests in the place, First Nations people with rights and interest in the place and relevant government agencies to comment on the draft Heritage Management Plan.

How to participate:

The consultation period is open from Friday 23 February 2024 to 5.00pm AEDT, on Friday 22 March 2024.

  • Visit our website to view a draft Heritage Management Plan at https://www.finance.gov.au/government/property-and-construction/property-compliance-reporting/public-consultation-snapper-island-heritage-management-plan
  • Visit the State Library of New South Wales at 1 Shakespeare Place, Sydney NSW 2000 to view a physical copy the draft Heritage Management Plan
