VETERANS' ENTITLEMENTS ACT 1986
EXPLANATORY NOTES FOR TABLING
The Minister has approved, under sub-section 91(3) of the Veterans'
Entitlements Act 1986 (the Act), and effective from 1 February 1997, the attached Instrument Number 5 of 1996. The instrument varies the Veterans'
Affairs Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme under sub-section 91(2) of the Act,
and is prepared by the Repatriation Commission under sub-section 91(2) of the
Act.
The variations to the Instrument are required to make clear that the Veterans'
Affairs Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (VAPBS) is consistent with the amended Explanatory Notes published in the Schedule of Pharmaceutical
Benefits for Approved Pharmacists and Medical Practitioners under the
National Health Act 1953.
