Horticulture Marketing and Research and Development Services (Gross Value of Production of the Horticultural Industry for
2023-24) Determination 2024

I, Joanna Stanion, delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, make this Determination under subsection 16(7A) of the Horticulture Marketing and Research and Development Services Act 2000.

For the purposes of subsection 16(7A) of that Act, the amount of the gross value of production of the horticultural industry for the financial year starting on 1 July 2023 and ending on 30 June 2024 is determined to be $16,529,990,341.

 

Note: The amount determined comprises of the following amounts for the sectors specified:

(a)     table grapes and dried grapes –$895,373,000

(b)     fruit and nuts (excluding grapes) –$6,295,500,667

(c)     vegetables (excluding ginger) – $5,637,810,341

(d)     cut flowers, turf and nursery – $3,425,088,000

(e)     other horticulture sectors not otherwise specified – $276,218,333.
