Queensland Class 1 Heavy Vehicle Christmas and Easter Derestriction Exemption Notice 2021 (No.1)
- Purpose
This Notice revokes de-restrictions that previously applied to special purpose vehicles and load carrying vehicles operating in Queensland under certain Notices.
Note: Special Purpose vehicles operating under the National Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicle Notice are no longer subject to Christmas and Easter travel restrictions.
Vehicles operating under the following Notices still have Christmas and Easter restrictions:
- Multi-State Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Dimension Exemption Notice 2019
- Queensland Class 3 Heavy Vehicle (Indivisible Item) Dimension Exemption Notice 2019
- Queensland Class 1 Special Purpose Combination Mass Dimension Exemption Notice 2019
- Multi-State Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Mass Exemption Notice 2016.
The Christmas and Easter derestriction relating to these Notices are now contained in the Queensland Access Conditions Guide, published by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, and is available on its website.
2. Revocation
This Notice revokes the Queensland Class 1 Heavy Vehicle Christmas and Easter Derestriction Exemption Notice 2016.
3. Authorising Provision
This notice is made under section 117 and Section 23 of Schedule 1 of the Heavy Vehicle National Law as in force in Queensland.
4. Title
This Notice may be cited as the Queensland Class 1 Heavy Vehicle Christmas and Easter Derestriction Exemption Revocation Notice 2021 (No.1).
5. Commencement
This Notice commences on 28 April 2021.
