Goat Fibre Levy Collection Regulations
The Regulations are to enable the collection of a levy for the purpose of financing research and development relevant to the goat fibre industry. The Levy is in response to a request by producer organisations and has been supported by goat fibre marketing groups.
The Regulations outline matters necessary or convenient for the collection of this Levy. Specifically, the Regulations require the keeping of records, manner of payment of levies and other moneys, the furnishing of returns, the manner in which an agent is authorised, the penalties for offences against the regulations and the form of a warrant to enter premises.
The Act and the proposed regulations relate to goat fibre produced after 1 January 1990.
