Gallantry Decorations
The Governor-General is pleased to announce the following Gallantry Decoration:
MEDAL FOR GALLANTRY (MG)
Australian Army
Second Lieutenant John Patrick O’HALLORAN (Retd)
For acts of gallantry in action in hazardous circumstances as the Platoon Commander, 5 Platoon, Bravo Company, 6th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment during Operation BRIBIE, South Vietnam on 17 February 1967.
The Mention in Despatches awarded in August 1967 for the same action has been cancelled.
