Foot and Mouth Disease

An Act to amend the Foot and Mouth Disease Act 1961.

[Date of Commencement 1 January, 1966]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Foot and Mouth Disease Act 1965.

(2.) The Foot and Mouth Disease Act 1961, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Foot and Mouth Disease Act 19611965.

Definitions.

2. Section 2 of the Foot and Mouth Disease Act 1961 is amended by inserting before the definition of owner the following definition:—

“‘foot and mouth disease includes vesicular exanthema and vesicular stomatitis;”.
