REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1956.*
I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1956.

Amendments of the Financial (Military) Regulations.†
Commencement.
1. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the second day of January, 1961.
Pay of native members.
2. Regulation 7a of the Financial (Military) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting sub-regulations (1.), (2.), (3.) and (4.) and inserting in their stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(1.) Subject to this regulation, the rate of pay of a native member is the rate per annum specified in the Sixth Schedule to these Regulations in relation to his rank, classification and length of service in the rank.”; and
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (6.) the words “or classification”.
