1909. No. 12.

 

PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACTS 1903-1904.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that on account of urgency the following Regulations under the Defence Acts 1903-1904 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulations to come into operation forthwith as Provisional Regulations.

Addition.

Regulation 143.—Travelling Allowances.

5. accommodation, class of.

At end of (a) add—

District Commandants may, however, authorize non-commissioned officers of the Permanent Forces to travel 1st class, by rail, for distances over 50 miles, on the narrow-gauge lines of Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
