REGULATIONS UNDER THE EXPORT MARKET DEVELOPMENT GRANTS ACT 19741

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Market Development Grants Act 1974.

Amendments of the Export Market Development Grants Regulations2

 1. Regulation 3 of the Export Market Development Grants Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Prescribed bodies

 3. (1) In this regulation, ‘Principal Act’ means the Act as in force immediately before 6 December 1978.

 (2) Subject to sub-regulation (3), each authority or association specified in Schedule 1 (being an authority or association within the meaning of the Principal Act) is declared to be a prescribed body within the meaning of the Principal Act for the purposes of the grant year commencing on 1 July 1974 and each of the 3 next succeeding grant years.

 (3) Where a date is specified in Column 3 of Schedule 1 in an item in that Schedule, the authority or association specified in Column 2 of that Schedule in that item (being an authority or association within the meaning of the Principal Act) is declared to be a prescribed body within the meaning of the Principal Act for the purposes of the grant year commencing on that date and each succeeding grant year (if any) up to and including the grant year commencing on 1 July 1977.”.

 2. Schedule 1 to the Export Market Development Grants Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:
