Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005

 

EXEMPTION FROM DISPLAYING AN AVIATION SECURITY IDENTIFICATION CARD IN AN AIRSIDE AREA

 

 

I, CHRISTINE DEEGAN, Director, Transport Security Operations, Aviation and Maritime Security Division, under regulation 3.08 of the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005, GIVE participants of the Aerodrome Emergency Field Exercise “Exercise Kitestrike” at Wagga Wagga Airport an exemption from displaying an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) when participating in this event. 

 

This exemption operates from 9:30am to 5:00pm, 14 September 2019 subject to the conditions below:

 

1. All persons participating in Exercise Kitestrike, including volunteers, Wagga Wagga Airport Staff and Emergency Services personnel:

 

  • are authorised by the Special Event Zone Manager to access the Zone established in Notice           NTC-16850
  • are briefed prior to the exercise at a pre-exercise meeting and on the day of the exercise
  • are under the supervision of an ASIC holder when moving through the airside area between the gate and the special event zone (SEZ) established in Notice NTC-16850

 

2. Drivers of vehicles participating in Exercise Kitestrike:

 

  • are authorised by the Special Event Zone Manager to access the Zone established in Notice           NTC-16850
  • are briefed prior to the exercise at a pre-exercise meeting and on the day of the exercise
  • are escorted by ASIC holders with vehicles when moving between the gate and the special event zone (SEZ) established in Notice NTC-16850

 

 

This Notice commences upon publication in the gazette.
