EXEMPTION FROM DISPLAYING AN AVIATION SECURITY IDENTIFICATION CARD IN A SECURE AREA
I, STEPHEN JOHN WEBER, Director, Transport Security Operations, Aviation and Maritime Security Division, an authorised Delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs, under section
127 of the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, make this notice under the Aviation Transport
Security Regulations 2005 (the Regulations).
This notice is made under subregulation 3.08(3) of the Regulations.
I, GIVE employees and contractors of Tonkin Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 67 606 247 876) and B.M.D. Constructions Pty. Limited (ABN 59 010 126 100) that are undertaking repair and remediation works, an exemption from displaying an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) in the secure area ofKingscote / Kangaroo Island Aerodrome.
This exemption operates from 25 October 2018 to 14 December 2018 between the hours of 6 am and
6 pm when necessary to undertake works subject to the conditions below:
This Notice is issued on condition that:
1. Employees and contractors of Tonkin Consulting Pty Ltd and B.M.D. Constructions Pty. Limited are to receive a safety and security induction from the nominated site Work Safety Officer before being permitted access to the airside area
2. Employees and contractors of Tonkin Consulting Pty Ltd and BMD Constructions Pty
Limited are to be under the supervision of an ASIC holder when undertaking repair and
remediation works
3. Employees and contractors access to the works site in the secure area is to be controlled by
the nominated Work Safety Officer or other ASIC holding contractor
4. Employees and contractors of Tonkin Consulting Pty Ltd and BMD Constructions Pty
Limited authorised to undertake works are to be recorded on a register maintained by the
airport operator or their contractor
