EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument.  Programs and Awards Statute 2006, section 8.

 

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument.  These Rules provide for the holding of examinations in relation to undergraduate and graduate coursework programs to assess students’ performance in the courses in which they are enrolled, and for the review of decisions made under the Rules.

 

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference.  None.

 

 

4. Consultation process.  The 2007 Rules incorporate amendments recommended by the University Education Committee.  The Rules were considered and approved by the Council of the University.
