BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK
DETERMINATION OF A CAMPING AREA AND CAMPING SITES (CAVE BEACH) 2025
I, Peter Donohoe, Branch Head of the Booderee and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Parks Branch, Parks Australia Division, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, delegate of the Director of National Parks, acting pursuant to subregulations 12.28(3) and (4) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Regulations 2025, DETERMINE that:
- the area of the Commonwealth Reserve known as Booderee National Park, and described in Schedule 1 to this determination, is a camping area, to be known as Cave Beach Camping Area; and
- the parts of the Cave Beach Camping Area identified in Schedule 2 to this determination are camping sites; and
- the Cave Beach Camping Area, and the camping sites within, are subject to the conditions set out in Schedule 3.
This determination commences on the day after it is signed.

DESCRIPTION OF CAMPING SITES
CAVE BEACH CAMPING AREA - BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK
The area of land within the Cave Beach Camping Area, being the area indicated on the map below in blue boxes and by the boundaries and signage provided on the Cave Beach Camping Area as a ‘Site’ is a camping site.
The map below forms part of the determination:

CONDITIONS OF CAMPING AREA
CAVE BEACH CAMPING AREA - BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK
For the Cave Beach Camping Area:
- The maximum number of tents and equipment that may be used on the one camping site at the same time is:
- One tent no larger than 3 metres by 4.5 metres; or
- Two tents, each no larger than 2.5 metres by 2.5 metres.
- The maximum number of persons who may camp in a camping site at the same time is 5 people.
- The maximum number of camping sites in the Cave Beach Camping Area that may be occupied at the same time is 13 camping sites.
- The maximum length of time a person may camp in the Cave Beach Camping Area at all times is 21 days.
- The camping sites at Cave Beach Camping Area are all Walk-In camping sites, meaning only tent camping is allowed and no vehicles are permitted on the camping sites or the camping area at any time.
- Portable generators are not permitted in the Cave Beach Camping Area at all times.
- The Cave Beach Camping Area is subject to the following restrictions on the use of trees or structures:
- No tent pegs or clothes drying line can be attached to any trees in the Cave Beach Camping Area and any trees adjacent to the Cave Beach Camping Area.
