DRAFT MAWSON’S HUTS HISTORIC SITE HERITAGE MANAGEMENT PLAN 2025
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, as manager of the Antarctic site, has prepared a draft Heritage Management Plan for the Mawson’s Huts Historic Site – a National and Commonwealth Heritage place (place ID: 105435 and 105713).
Under paragraph 324S(6)(a) and 341S(6)(b) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, the Department invites comment on the Draft Mawson’s Huts Historic Site Heritage Management Plan 2025 from members of the public, key stakeholders, community groups, and Indigenous people with an interest in the place.
The Draft Mawson’s Huts Historic Site Heritage Management Plan 2025 can be viewed online and comments submitted via the Department’s consultation hub at: https://consult.dcceew.gov.au/
The closing date for public comment is 5:00pm AEDT, on 1 April 2025.
