Determination in respect of Mr George Gittoes AM—Royal Australian Regiment

 

Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986

 

 

I, Matthew James Keogh, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, acting within my powers under paragraph 5R(1)(c) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, determine that:

 

  1.    The Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 is to apply to and in relation to Mr George Gittoes AM as if he was rendering service as a member of the unit of the Australian Defence Force specified in paragraph (2).

 

  1.    Mr George Gittoes AM rendered relevant service during the period from 3 March 1993 to 31 March 1993 inclusive while engaged as a war artist attached to the First Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment in the area comprising Somalia.
