Determination in respect of Mr George Gittoes AM—Operation Tamar

 

Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986

 

 

I, Matthew James Keogh, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, acting within my powers under paragraph 5R(1)(a) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, determine that:

 

  1.    The Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 is to apply to and in relation to Mr George Gittoes AM as if he was rendering continuous full-time service as a member of the Australian Defence Force while rendering the relevant service specified in paragraph (2).

 

  1.    Mr George Gittoes AM rendered relevant service during the period from 20 April 1995 to 30 April 1995 inclusive while engaged as a war artist attached to units of the Australian Defence Force assigned to Operation Tamar in Rwanda.
