REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE FORCES RETIREMENT BENEFITS ACT 1948-1965.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Act 1948-1965.

Amendment of the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations†

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the fourteenth day of February, 1966.

The Schedule.

2. The Schedule to the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule inserted in its stead:—

Overview

The Statutory Rules 1966 No. 42, known as the Regulations under the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits Act 1948-1965, were enacted to amend the Defence Forces Retirement Benefits (Daily Rates of Pay) Regulations. These regulations came into operation on the fourteenth day of February, 1966, and were made by the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council. The primary objective of these regulations is to update the daily rates of active pay for various ranks within the Permanent Naval Forces, Permanent Military Forces, and Permanent Air Force, as well as for chaplains, medical and dental officers, and female officers, both medical and non-medical.
