I, the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under item 1 of the table in subsection 2(1) of the Defence and Veterans’ Service Commissioner Act 2026, fix 1 June 2026 as the day on which the whole of that Act commences.
