DECLARATION OF APPROVED WILDLIFE TRADE MANAGEMENT PLAN

I, JOSH FRYDENBERG, Minister for the Environment and Energy:

(a) having considered public comments as required by section 303FR

(b) being satisfied as to those matters set out in sub-section 303FO(3)

  and

(c) having had regard to those matters set out in sub-section 303FO(4)

declare that the ‘New South Wales Commercial Kangaroo Harvest Management Plan 2017–2021’ is an Approved Wildlife Trade Management Plan for the purposes of section 303FO of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

Unless amended or revoked, this declaration has effect subject to the following conditions applied under section 303FT:

1. The harvest must be carried out in accordance with the ‘New South Wales Commercial Kangaroo Harvest Management Plan 2017–2021’ (the Plan);

2.      The quota report referred to in Section 5.2 of the Plan must be submitted to the Department of the Environment and Energy by 30 November each year.

3.      The annual report referred to in Section 5.6 of the Plan must be submitted to the Department of the Environment and Energy by 31 March each year. The annual report will cover the previous calendar year.

4.      The approval is valid from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2021.
