DECLARATION OF AN APPROVED WILDLIFE TRADE MANAGEMENT PLAN
1. I, Greg Hunt, Minister for the Environment:
(a) having considered the comments that were given in response to an invitation
under section 303FR(1) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity
Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) (EPBC Act); and
(b) being satisfied as to the matters set out in section 303FO of the EPBC Act,
declare that the Wildlife Trade Management Program for the Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) in the Northern Territory of Australia, 2016-2020 (the Plan), is an approved wildlife trade management plan for the purposes of section 303FO of the EPBC Act.
2. The Plan is only subject to the declaration in paragraph 1:
(a) from 1 January 2016 until 31 December 2020
(b) to the extent that the Plan relates to specimens from the following species:
(i) saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus);
(c) if the commercial harvest of the species referred to in paragraph 2(b) is carried
out in accordance with the Plan; and
(d) while the conditions specified in the Schedule to this Instrument are complied
with.

SCHEDULE
Condition 1
The annual report referred to in Section 3.1.7 of the Plan must be submitted to the Department
of the Environment by 31 October each year. The annual report must cover the previous
financial year 1 July to 30 June. The annual report must contain (but not be limited to)
information relating to the results of annual population monitoring, annual harvest data for
eggs and hatchling and non-hatchling take, farm production and permitting and compliance
activities.
