REGULATION UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1936.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Customs Act 1901-1936.

Amendment of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations.†
Second schedule amended.
The Second Schedule to the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations is amended—
(a) by inserting after item 2 the following item:— | |
“2a | Articles of all kinds which, in the opinion of the Minister, are produced or manufactured, wholly or in part, in any country other than the United Kingdom or a British possession, and are suitable for use for or in connexion with the celebration or commemoration of the Coronation of the King and Queen or as souvenirs thereof, and consist of, or bear, a representation of the King or Queen or of any other member of the Royal Family, the Royal cypher, the Royal Arms, any Royal emblem, escutcheon, badge, crest, armorial bearings or insignia, any article or building associated with the Coronation, or a flag of the United Kingdom or a British possession, or any flag resembling any such flag, or which consist of, or bear, any other mark, device or word which renders them suitable for such use”; and |
(b) by inserting after item 13 the following item:— | |
“13a | Goods to which, or to the coverings of which, there is applied a representation of the Royal Arms or a representation so nearly resembling the Royal Arms as to be likely to deceive”. |
