CEO INSTRUMENT OF APPROVAL No. 7 of 2003

 

CUSTOMS ACT 1901

 

I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A and subsection 64ACA(8) of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act), hereby approve the attached “Data Elements Required for Electronic Reporting of Cruise Passengers” statement as the approved statement for the purpose of transmitting an electronic report, under either subsection 64ACA(2) or subsection 64ACA(4) of the Act, on passengers who will be on board a ship at the time of its arrival at a port.

 

This statement is approved for use on and from gazettal.

DATA ELEMENTS REQUIRED FOR ELECTRONIC REPORTING

OF CRUISE PASSENGERS

DETAILS REQUIRED

Travel Document Number

Passport number of passenger, including any leading zeroes

Country of Issue

ICAO code of issuing country in passport of passenger

Surname

Surname of passenger as it appears in the passport

Given Names

Given names of passenger as they appear in the passport

(names to be separated by a space)

Date of Birth

Date of birth of passenger in the format Dd/Mm/Yyyy, including all leading zeroes

Sex

Gender of passenger as it appears in the passport: either ‘M’ for male, ‘F’ for female, or ‘U’ for undefined (where specified in New Zealand passports)

Child Indicator

Insert capital N for every passenger
