1 Name
This instrument is the Competition and Consumer (Scams Prevention Framework—Code) Delegations 2026.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The whole of this instrument | The later of: (a) the day after this instrument is registered; and (b) immediately after the commencement of the Competition and Consumer (Scams Prevention Framework—Regulated Sectors) Designation 2026. However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur. |

This instrument is made under section 58CD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
4 Definitions
Note: Expressions have the same meaning in this instrument as in Competition and Consumer Act 2010 as in force from time to time—see paragraph 13(1)(b) of the Legislation Act 2003.
In this instrument:
Communications Minister means the Minister administering the Telecommunications Act 1997.
telecommunications sector means the regulated sector designated under section 13 of the Competition and Consumer (Scams Prevention Framework—Regulated Sectors) Designation 2026.
the Act means the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Part 2—Delegations
5 Delegation of SPF code making power
Under section 58CD of the Act, the Minister’s power under section 58CB to make a code for the telecommunications sector is delegated to the Communications Minister.
