REGULATION UNDER THE EDUCATION ACT 1945-1966.*

I, THE the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Education Act 1945-1966.

Amendment of the Commonwealth Scholarships and Awards Regulations†

Commonwealth University scholarships.

Regulation 6 of the Commonwealth Scholarships and Awards Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(1.) Subject to these Regulations, the Board or an authorized officer may award Commonwealth University scholarships to students included in a class of students specified in Part I. of the Schedule to these Regulations and to students who—

(a) are enrolled at the University of New South Wales in a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws;

(b) have been admitted, or are eligible to be admitted, to the degree of Bachelor of Arts of that University; and

(c) commenced to undertake the course for the degree of Bachelor of Arts at that University during the year commencing on the first day of January, 1970 or on the first day of January, 1969.”.
