REGULATIONS UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1932.

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS appointed under the Commonwealth Public Service Act 1922-1932, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the said Act, and subject to the approval of the Governor-General, hereby makes the following Regulation.

Amendments of Commonwealth Public Service Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 212, as amended to this date.)

1. Regulation 97b is amended—

(a) by omitting the word twenty-six” appearing in sub regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the word “thirteen”.

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words—

“, or thirteen pounds per annum if unmarried”.

(c) by adding to sub-regulation (1.) the words—

“Provided further that this sub-regulation shall cease to have effect on and from the first day of July, 1934.”

(d) by omitting sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(3.) Unless otherwise determined by the Board, an officer appointed, transferred, or promoted to an office in Canberra, whether before or after the commencement of this regulation, who resides at one of the Commonwealth hotels or boarding-houses, may be paid an allowance at the rate of thirteen pounds per annum. Such allowance shall not be paid in addition to allowance payable under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation or under regulation 96 of these Regulations. It shall, however, if greater, be paid in lieu of the allowance payable under regulation 96 of these Regulations.”

2. This regulation shall commence on 1st July, 1933.
