1910. No. 23.

PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE COMMONWEALTH ELECTORAL ACT 19021909 AND THE REFERENDUM (CONSTITUTION ALTERATION) ACT 19061909.

I, THE GOVERNORGENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulation under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 19021909 and the Referendum (Constitution Alteration) Act 19061909 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

The Regulations under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 19021909 and the Referendum (Constitution Alteration) Act 19061909, being Statutory Rules 1910, No. 2, are amended as follows :—

(a) By inserting in Part I., Electoral Regulations, after Regulation 26, the following Regulation :—

" Official Mark.

" 26a. The official mark for the authentication of ballotpapers shall be a water mark in the paper thereof, consisting of a representation of a shield having therein the letters C A intertwined," and

(b) By inserting in Part II., Referendum Regulations, after Regulation 31, the following Regulation :—

" Official Mark.

" 31a. The official mark for the authentication of referendum ballotpapers shall be the official mark prescribed for electoral ballotpapers."
