ELIZABETH THE SECOND, by the Grace of God Queen of Australia and Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth: To the Honourable Paul de Jersey, Companion of the Order of Australia, Governor of the State of Queensland, Greeting:
WE DO, by this Our Commission under Our Sign Manual and the Great Seal of Australia, appoint you, the Honourable Paul de Jersey, in the event of the absence out of Australia, or the death, incapacity or removal, of Our Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia for the time being, or in the event of Our Governor‑General having absented himself temporarily from office for any reason, to administer the Government of the Commonwealth, upon a request in that behalf being made to you in accordance with Our Letters Patent as amended relating to the office of Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
AND WE DO hereby declare that this Our present Commission shall remain in force during Our pleasure.
