CHARLES THE THIRD, by the Grace of God King of Australia and His other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth: To His Excellency the Honourable Christopher Dawson, Companion of the Order of Australia, Australian Police Medal, Governor of the State of Western Australia, Greeting:
WE DO, by this Commission under Our Sign Manual and the Great Seal of Australia, appoint you, Christopher Dawson, in the event of the absence out of Australia, or the death, incapacity or removal, of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia for the time being, or in the event of the Governor‑General having absented himself or herself temporarily from office for any reason, to administer the Government of the Commonwealth, upon a request in that behalf being made to you in accordance with the Letters Patent issued by Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth The Second, on 21 August 2008 as amended relating to the office of Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

pleasure.
