Great Seal of Australia, appointing
HER EXCELLENCY THE HONOURABLE BARBARA BAKER AC
ELIZABETH THE SECOND, by the Grace of God Queen of Australia and Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth: To Her Excellency the Honourable Barbara Baker, Companion of the Order of Australia, Governor of the State of Tasmania, Greeting:
WE DO, by this Commission under Our Sign Manual and the Great Seal of Australia, appoint you, Barbara Baker, in the event of the absence out of Australia, or the death, incapacity or removal, of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia for the time being, or in the event of the Governor-General having absented himself or herself temporarily from office for any reason, to administer the Government of the Commonwealth, upon a request in that behalf being made to you in accordance with Our Letters Patent as amended relating to the office of Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
AND WE DO declare that this Commission remains in force during Our pleasure.
