Broadcasting Services (Designated Series of Events)

Declaration No. 1 of 2000

 

 

I, RICHARD KENNETH ROBERT ALSTON, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, make the following declaration under subsection 146C(2) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

Citation

1. This declaration may be cited as the Broadcasting Services (Designated Series of Events) Declaration No. 1 of 2000.

 

[NOTE:  This declaration commences on gazettal:  see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, ss 46A and 48.]

 

Designated Series of Events

2. The series of events specified in the Schedule are each declared to be a designated series of events for the purposes of Part 10A of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

 

Offer Time

3. The offer time in relation to each series of events specified in the Schedule is ninety days before the start of the opening ceremony in that series of events.

 

 


SCHEDULE

 

DESIGNATED SERIES OF EVENTS

 

  1. The Federation of International Football Associations World Cup Soccer tournament to be held in 2002, including the opening ceremony and closing presentation of that tournament.

 

2.       The Federation of International Football Associations World Cup Soccer tournament to be held in 2006, including the opening ceremony and closing presentation of that tournament.
