1 Name
This instrument is the Autonomous Sanctions (Designated Persons and Entities and Declared Persons—Thematic Sanctions) Instrument 2022.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under regulation 6A of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011.
4 Definitions
In this instrument:
Regulations means the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011.
Part 2—Designations of persons and entities and declarations of persons
5 Serious violations or serious abuses of human rights
Designated persons and entities
(1) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(4)(a) of the Regulations, each person or entity specified in an item of a table in clause 1 or 2 of Schedule 1 is designated as a designated person or entity.
Declared persons
(2) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(4)(b) of the Regulations, each person specified in an item of the table in clause 1 of Schedule 1 is declared for the purpose of preventing the person from travelling to, entering or remaining in Australia.
6 Serious corruption
Designated persons and entities
(1) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(5)(a) of the Regulations, each person or entity specified in an item of a table in clause 1 or 2 of Schedule 2 is designated as a designated person or entity.
Declared persons
(2) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(5)(b) of the Regulations, each person specified in an item of the table in clause 1 of Schedule 2 is declared for the purpose of preventing the person from travelling to, entering or remaining in Australia.
7 Significant cyber incidents
Designated persons and entities
(1) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(2)(a) of the Regulations, each person or entity specified in an item of a table in clause 1 or 2 of Schedule 3 is designated as a designated person or entity.
Declared persons
(2) For the purposes of paragraph 6A(2)(b) of the Regulations, each person specified in an item of the table in clause 1 of Schedule 3 is declared for the purpose of preventing the person from travelling to, entering or remaining in Australia.
