Australian Wool Industry Council Regulations (Amendment)

 

Section 39 of the Australian Wool Industry Council Act 1991 (the Act) provides that the Governor-General may make regulations for the purposes of the Act.

 

Subsections 10(2) and 10(3) of the Act make provision for the Australian Wool Industry Council (AWIC) to convene industry review conferences, subject to the regulations. Regulations have been made requiring the AWIC to hold the conferences every three years, with the first conference to be held no later than 1 April 1992. The amended Regulations change the date by which the first conference must be held from 1 April 1992 to 1 December 1992.

 

The details of the Regulations are as follows:

 

Clause 1 provides for the amendment of the regulations.

 

Clause 2 provides for an amendment to subregulation 4(2) of the date by which the first conference must be held, from 1 April 1992 to 1 December 1992.
