AUSTRALIAN SOLDIERS’ REPATRIATION.

An Act to amend the Australian Soldiers’ Repatriation Act 1920-1948.

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Australian Soldiers’ Repatriation Act 1949.
(2.) The Australian Soldiers’ Repatriation Act 1920–1948, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Australian Soldiers’ Repatriation Act 1920–1949.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the seventh day of July, One thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
Service pension in respect of a member permanently unemployable or suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis.
3. Section eighty-five of the Australian Soldiers’ Repatriation Act 1920–1948 is amended by omitting from sub-section (1.) the words “Ten”, “Fifteen”, “Twenty” and “Twenty-five” and inserting in their stead the words “Eighteen”, “Twenty-three”, “Twenty-eight” and “Thirty-three”, respectively.
