REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1939.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1939.

Amendments of the Australian Military Regulations. †
Definitions.
1. Regulation 3 of the Australian Military Regulations is amended by omitting, the definitions of “Formation, &c.” and “Formation, &c. commander” and inserting in their stead the following definitions:—
“‘Formation, &c.,’ means the whole of the officers and soldiers belonging or attached to a command, cavalry division, infantry division or mixed brigade, and includes a military district.
‘Formation, &c., commander’ means the commander of a formation, &c., and includes the Commandant of the Royal Military College of Australia.”.
2. After regulation 41 of the Australian Military Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—
Commands.
“41a. The following parts of Australian are appointed as commands: —
1st Military District—Northern Command.
2nd Military District—Eastern Command.
3rd, 4th and 6th Military Districts—Southern Command.
5th Military District—Western Command.”.
